Hossa is one of Finland’s best canoeing destinations with its rivers, lakes and ponds. Many times canoe takes you closer to wildlife also and the simple sensation of floating with the flow, gently paddling forwards is just great. There are suitable routes for both beginners and the more experienced water beasts and the lakes being rather narrow they´re perfect for canoeing and row boating. The rapids in the area are not very demanding; depending on the water level they range from a classification of I to II+ so indian canoes and kayaks are the ones that are used.
